Panel Sub 3 - MCB terbakar
![]() |
| perbaikan/ penggantian |
2. Mengamankan beban lebih
secara otomatis MCB akan trip bila over beban
3. Sebagai saklar utama
MCB untuk memutus semua arus listrik didalam line instalasi

Monster Ball Drop Arcade Repair: Resolving Error 08 (E-08 - Upper Ball Jam & Mechanical Clearance Adjustment)
![]() |
| Monster ball drop |
A frequent operational fault reported by field technicians is Error 08 (E-08 / E 08), which signals that a ball has become physically wedged or hung up in the upper ball release/gate channel, preventing it from dropping smoothly onto the playfield.

| Error 8 : disebabkan karna adanya bola yg tersangkut di atas |
🔍 Understanding Error 08 Symptoms
When Error 08 occurs on a Monster Ball Drop cabinet:
Error Code Display: The digital score/credit LED display flashes E-08 or E 08, accompanied by an audible error chime.
Game Cycle Freeze: The machine halts normal game startup or mid-game plays because the upper ball release mechanism fails to confirm a successful ball drop within the CPU's programmed timeout window.
Visible Ball Jam: One or more balls remain trapped or tightly wedged under the upper mechanical retainer bar or gate release bracket.

[ Ball Gets Trapped Under Upper Retainer Bracket ] <=== ROOT CAUSE (Insufficient Clearance)
│
▼
Drop Sensor Receives No Ball Signal -> CPU Timeout -> Triggers "E-08"
Primary Cause:
Tight Retainer Bar Clearance: The metal retainer bracket/bar positioned above the ball chute sits too low, pinching the ball against the track.
Ball Size Variance & Wear: Over time, replacement balls or thermal expansion/surface grime increase ball friction, causing them to catch against tight metal guards.
🛠️ Step-by-Step Adjustment & Repair Procedure
Resolving Error 08 requires a simple mechanical clearance adjustment rather than replacing electronic components.

Detailed Repair Steps:
Power Down & Access Upper Chute:
Turn off the main AC power switch and open the upper cabinet service hatch or remove the front protective acrylic panel.
Locate the Ball Jam:
Identify the trapped ball stuck beneath the upper release arm or metal retaining bracket.
Adjust Mechanical Retainer Clearance (Perbaikan Adjustment):
Loosen the mounting screws holding the upper metal ball retaining bar.
Slightly bend or elevate the metal bar upward (by 1–2 mm) to increase vertical clearance in the channel.
Objective: Provide just enough overhead clearance so the ball rolls freely through the gate without binding, while keeping it low enough to prevent secondary balls from jumping the track.
Manual Roll Test:
Pass a ball through the chute manually by hand to ensure smooth, unhindered gravity feeding through the drop sensor area.
Re-tighten & Test:
Firmly tighten the mounting screws and power on the cabinet.
Enter the Test Menu or play several test credits to verify that balls drop reliably without triggering E-08.
📌 Master Arcade Repair & Troubleshooting Quick Reference
| Arcade Machine | Error / Fault | Primary Cause | Corrective Repair Action |
| Monster Ball Drop | Error 08 (E-08) | Ball trapped / wedged in upper drop channel | Slightly raise/bend the upper metal retainer bar to allow sufficient clearance for smooth ball flow |
| Monster Eye | No Motion | Low air pressure or stuck pneumatic solenoid valve | Verify compressor pressure ($80\text{--}100\text{ PSI}$), drain tank moisture, and test solenoid coils |
| Monster Eye | Gun Tracking Fail | Dirty gun lens, broken harness wire, or dead bezel IR LEDs | Clean gun lens with IPA, check IR array with phone camera, and repair flex tube harness |
| Cat & Mice | Error 1-1 | Broken wire inside motor input power cable | Test harness continuity while flexing wires; cut, splice, and resolder damaged wire segment |
| Happy Journey | No Signal / No Display | CPU board short circuit caused by dust buildup | Deep clean mainboard with compressed air & 99% IPA; clean RAM/CF card contacts with eraser |
| Happy Frog | Err 01 – Err 04 | Mechanical jam, dead solenoid coil, or position sensor failure | Clear jam, test solenoid coil resistance ($5\text{--}35\Omega$), and clean position sensors with IPA |
| Happy Frog | ERR 03 / E3 | Empty ticket roll, paper jam, or dirty notch sensor | Reload tickets, clear chute jam, and clean optical sensor with IPA swab |

Technical Overview: The Hologram Reflector & Optical Sensor System
To track and manage physical balls inside the lift mechanism, Monster Drop uses an optical reflective sensor system paired with a special hologram reflector sticker/plate.

The Hologram Reflector: Acts as a specialized mirror that reflects the sensor light back to the optical receiver pin with high accuracy under cabinet lighting.
The Sensor Mechanism: When a ball enters the lift channel, it breaks or changes the reflected light path off the hologram background. This alerts the game controller to run the elevator motor and deliver the ball up to the dropping chute.
